State Budget Finally Succeeds in Complete Destruction of Democratic Spirit

In a grand swoop of his double edged sword, Governor Rod Blagojevich stepped up to line item veto "pork" in the long awaited state budget just after signing legislation giving lawmakers (and political luminaries like himself) a 10% pay increase. This not-so-stunning display of stubborn tunnel vision on the part of the Gov shows heartwarming dedication to Illinois' sordid political tradition.

I know how to get Billy Corgan back into a positive, commercially successful pop culture position. Though it may not seem like it, but Mr. Corgan’s place in pop culture is important for Chicago. Our current crop of music celebs don’t live here (Kanye West) and/or can’t really play their instruments (Fall Out Boy).
